Meet the Team

At present Berco UK has approximately 20 staff in the UK. We have moved to a substantially larger factory with the intention of increasing production levels and staffing in the future.

We have purposely built up a multi-skilled work force, and staff that are from a wide array of backgrounds and industries.

Below are some of our front line staff:

Andrew Cornforth

Managing Director  

Andy has only recently taken up the position of MD following his promotion from Commercial Manager. He joined the team in March 2007 and has extensive experience, in the electronics and construction machinery manufacturing sector. He now has responsibility of ensuring the continued success and growth of Berco UK Ltd.

Chris Sowerby

Finance & Administration

 

With substantial accounting experience, Chris was recently appointed to the Board as our Financial Director. He will be embarking on a global project which will mean relocating to our Head Office in February 2010. However, he will still assume limited responsibilities here at Berco UK.

Cliff Horner

Production & Engineering

 

Cliff is one of the longest serving members of staff at Berco UK, being with the company since June 2006. He has a wealth of experience in the automotive sector, and played a key role in preparing our Spennymoor factory. He was appointed Senior Operations Manager in May 2009.

 

 

Paolo Pastorino

Sales & Product Support

Paolo, one of our native Italians, joined the Company to look after the Quality Department. His educational background is in Mechanical Engineering and worked as a Process Engineer prior to joining the team. Following his key role in achieving ISO 9001, his position with Berco is now focused upon sales and product support.

Paul Taylor

Human Resources

Paul is CIPD qualified and has over 5 years experience in HR. He was the driving force behind gaining accreditation to Investors in People and has responsibility for implementing OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001.

Tracey Cramond

Purchasing & General Services

Tracey brings over 25 years of administrative experience to the company. She has worked for a number of high profile companies both in the UK and in South Africa and her role encompasses non stock related purchasing, general services and health and safety.

Chris Harkness

Planning

 

Chris joined the team in February 2008 primarily working in planning before taking on additional product support responsibilities for both the OEM and Aftermarket. He has 8 years planning experience in the heavy machinery industry.

Amy Lyons

OEM Sales

 

Amy began her career with Berco initially working in Maintenance before moving to the Sales team 2007. She is heavily involved with the sales administration and support of our OEM and Aftermarket customers.
