Berco (UK) Ltd. is based in Spennymoor in the North East of England, and is a subsidiary of Berco S.p.A - which is in turn part of the ThyssenKrupp.
We are a 150,000sq ft. site currently distributing fully assembled track shoes to OEM's as well as Aftermarket customers. The facility houses assembly lines for tracks and frame systems and painting facilities for all product ranges. There are many projects in the pipeline to expand the sub-assembly area of the business, and there is also potential to add component manufacturing.
Berco UK was established as an investment near to the UK customer base. By having end products available locally and being able to assemble and/or modify undercarriages with short lead times, we provide improved service and support as well as increasing the flexibility of supply.
The proximity of the port allows Berco UK to optimise the considerable inflow of goods in around 750 containers totaling more than 17,000 tons a year. This stock is then held in our vast warehouse and delivered daily on a just in time basis.
